About us
Our
children - eldest daughter Sophie (21yrs) - NZ multi
National Champion Athlete 400m
sprint specialist. Greatest achievement running for Gold in
Samoa 200 7 and WINNING along with NZ Title holder 2 years
running. At University, studying, working in our business in
marketing, and managing my Hair Extension business when I get called
away. Sophie has also a gift for singing, I hope to have a CD soon,
of my favourite songs!
Caitlin (19yrs) our Chartered Accountant/Economist to be and an outstanding
writer and author with fiction novels. Finished school last year
obtaining a double scholarship (Economics & Accounting) Now at
University, we are so proud!!!!
Both girls hung up their riding hats a few years ago and
especially now as they explore life - contemplate their
futures and both studying hard at University.
It was a phone
call that day a few years ago now - when a lady ringing
about a QH broodmare that I had for sale mentioned a Gypsy
Cob stallion available at stud.
We bred a part bred Gypsy cob filly out of my QH mare and she is
the loveliest filly.
In her heavily feathered UGG boots, adorned with her very
thick and hairy double dark mane, large apple bum and
gorgeous buckskin coloured coat she is just gorgeous. Superb
in temperament and very people orientated.
Little then did I know that my world would change and take me on the
beginning of my Gypsy Cob Journey.
We imported
our Gypsy Cob stallion in 2009 -
and in December 2009 we purchased Gypsy Magic Quality Star from Deborah Nash,
Gypsy Cobs NZ and owner of "The Gypsy Star of Brackenhill" sire to
our filly. We then went on to import Sydney Harkers best mare, his
Queen of his herd, and another top quality mare from Harkers in
England. We have another World Class quality mare due to arrive in
2013, and they say this breed is addictive!!! :) View my own personal story
